Slow Shenanigans

I saw you at the festival

All of a sudden 

Kind of a gift

That i was not expecting 

And of course you disappeared 

You’ve done that before

That’s your specialty 

The only thing you know how to do well

Hide in plain view

Even though tall

You turned me off

Like a light switch 

You’re in the business

Of robbing my nights

Oh just shut up!

I know who’s the real robber 

I put you on a pedestal

And every night we talked 

I remember vividly

You were my sun 

I was your modest image of the moon

I was shooting high

And I was not even afraid

Very uncomfortable in your shyness 

Very comfortable in your confidence 

So much aroused by your wide world

So shrunk altogether…

A mix of all the feelings 

A mix of all the sights

I am still at my beginnings 

While you are doing right

This is not a song of beauty

This is not a song of peace

When i see you i get so fuzzy

So don’t push me to give a meaning to this

The beauty of a poem 

Is the fact that you remain a mystery

While i put a closure to a Feel

As i open another door

Another way… to a new deal

A way to say goodbye and to forget

Without you responding 

A way to connect 

Without you being aware of it…

So farewell Papa’s girl

You mythological creature

I’ll be on my way

With the hope that one day

I’ll be the mythological 

And you’ll tell stories 

About a feel, about a day

About a hope left astray

And you’ll feel the need

To write a poem

so that I’ll be forever away
