The Queen of Trench Coats

Besart Cani Season 1 Episode 24

Share Your Thoughts With Me.

The queen of trench coats stole my heart

Maybe with one trench coat at a time

Or all at once I’m not really sure

But what i am sure about is that i was hers, once!

most probably love at first sight, that leaves you troubled, leaves you murky

like a river that starts nowhere and ends in another territory ,

That has no rhyme, that has no meaning, has no why, nor a timing…

I have no words to describe…

Not because of the majesty entirely

It had no meaning and it needed one

It had no narrative and it needed a path

Something to settle on, somewhere to rest

Who wins wars? The last one standing…they say

The one with clear objectives, with the passion to withstand it

Truth be told

the battlefield of my mind is still blooded

Hope and helplessness dance together

Dreams and nightmares are now one

Fear and courage, whichever… gone

Everything armed in the cold that is near

But i got to put the guns down

I know, i see…. the enemy

Their steps… their runaways

Kids roaming around

But the enemy doesn’t know me…

I’m a ghost in the whereabouts of the city

I walk, cry and weep alone

In the burning light of these sunny days

The ghost city made me one of them too

Cause what you love transforms you

The peace treaty will take time

As i face the enemies of my dark dreams

I’ll rage chaos in mind mind

And disrupt the order in my life

While the enemy lives unbothered

the future that they had in mind

I can’t take the other ghosts with me

You all need them… to see

What life should not be

Now trench coats in the trenches

Our hearts on the ground,

I can feel the fear in the heart beat

affecting all around

What was once the light in your darkness

Now it’s darkness in your daylight

And I ramify into strangeness

Only if i was anything at all

Anything to be worried about

To avoid or to call

i know, i see…the anger inside of me

Not so easy to deal with

the ramifications of the heart beat

She was mine and I was hers

In what remains an overture
