Artipod - a poem's journey
Welcome to Artipod, where the artistic side of words and memories meets the joy of self-expression. I'm Besart, your host, and on this podcast I share my love for writing by bringing my emotions in the form of poems a bit closer to your life. Join me on this expression through the verses. Each episode will be a heartfelt exploration of thoughts, memories and emotions. Artipod is a space where the simplicity of spoken words in combination with the depth that sounds bring forms a narrative that resonates with the seriousness of life.
Artipod - a poem's journey
On Feeling Unwanted
Hello… just hello!
This is more for me than just for you!
My working crew
My mind, my heart
My muscles my thoughts
About everything that i gave
And all that i received
About me being the straightforward
Calm not twisted,
Ever ready to fight your fights
Ever ready to believe your side of the story
Ever ready for your dreams
Not because mines are not important
But mines are secure
In my righteousness
In things that I don’t fully believe
But somehow they do believe in me
This is to set myself up straight
Again and again
Along with trying to straighten up the world
Yours and mine!
This is for all the days that i was left thinking
Sinking! And shrinking!
In the abysmal image of your crooked mirror
Where everything is twisted and stretched
To fit! To sit! To be engraved
Through repetition, repetition, repetition
Not the truth i see
The one That you don’t talk, don’t share
You Don’t speak up about what is fair
Nejse!
Leave it hidden down there in
The wounded eyes, the pierced soul
The fractured ego, crippled but bold
How different your life would be
If you’d respect your thoughts accordingly
I guess that is the price to pay
I felt unwanted but allowed to stay
Allowed to be but there on the verge
Just to take a look but not to touch
Just to talk but not to listen,
And you to be you without restrictions
Just breathe in the love
breathe out the hope
No space for me in that crown of dust!
No space to reconcile
No April to enjoy
The ring takes another meaning
The future that you had in mind
Now creates another feeling
I have yet to start, again and again
Holding my anger, while being a good friend
I felt unwanted and that can not change
No matter what you throw into the range
