Artipod - a poem's journey
Welcome to Artipod, where the artistic side of words and memories meets the joy of self-expression. I'm Besart, your host, and on this podcast I share my love for writing by bringing my emotions in the form of poems a bit closer to your life. Join me on this expression through the verses. Each episode will be a heartfelt exploration of thoughts, memories and emotions. Artipod is a space where the simplicity of spoken words in combination with the depth that sounds bring forms a narrative that resonates with the seriousness of life.
Artipod - a poem's journey
Public Enemy
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
I walk slowly behind them
They clearly don’t see me
I creep closer at about an arms length
Ready to say hi to now a public enemy.
Something triggers on my mind
I can’t talk, can’t whisper
Can’t click….i can’t mix
My life story with ghosts
of another breed, another time
Another risk.
So i retreat back to my
Safe hajven
This mission seriously jinxed
The armslength becomes a state
It’s today already
It’s another fate
I think daily about
How i want to hurt you so bad
I think about you daily
Even though that gets me so mad
Amidst all the files
Amidst all the corruption
All I see is similarities of arrogance
A fox in female clothes
A lady trying to show her bad side
Even though ignorant
Tale as old as time
I have to pay you back
Dime to dime
With the same pain
With the same thought
With the same hope
I don’t know why,
Just to leave track
Of a public enemy
that hurt me so bad
I still want the world to know
Never cared what you call it
I have to be respectful about it all
To my belongings
I walk the streets, in others shoes
Allies aimed at you,
All driving force
The main culprit is my cue
The main man, the main lady
Another fate, serving already
Another mix, another ghost
Moves slowly in the apartment
This time to him is not a hoax
I hope he decides to face the dark
I hope he knows to play the part.
I walk new streets, a seaside breeze
Once a cutting wind, now a warm hug
I look forward to a last blow though
Hoping endlessly that it will break a past
and start a future
Always against the gradient
I knew there would be an end to the torture
